Damien Goodyear had been nothing but a lab rat since he could remember. His father was an employee for the Australia branch of PILLAR. Working in the underground labs experimenting on children to make a new "advancement" in human evolution. Unfortunately, their experiments had many failures. Damien’s father was at his wits end until he came up with a new idea.
On Damien’s 7th birthday his father decided to bring him to the PILLAR labs where heworked. Damien had been curious and ever since losing his mother wanted more time with his dad. Unfortunately he was never around and his father thought of it as a golden opportunity. Anopportunity to have a high possibility for success. A few months ago Damien’s father took a ample of his son's DNA.
Blood, hair, saliva, mucus or anything else he could get his hands on. He tested each sample with the serums they were experimenting with and each one had the same result. Successful adaptation with minor physical changes. Everything Damien’s father worked for and the solution was right in front of him living in his own home.
Damien was awe struck as his father led him through the corridors of his workplace. Eventually leading Damien into a bright room. Completely white, a small bed, a separate smaller room as a bathroom, but nothing else. Damien was confused and wasn’t able to process what came next. Damine’s father let go of his hand, left the room and locked the door. Damien panicked and ran to the door banging on it and screaming for his father.
Suddenly the wall on the door side changed from a pale wall to a large window. On the other side was Damien’s father wearing a gentle smile. Finally, he had what he needed. A child that was compatible with the serum. His own son was made to become a weapon; his Son of War.
Dallas and Brady Harper were brothers that were 3 years apart. They were both very active kids. Always swimming, running or wrestling. Enjoying life to the fullest. Sadly, it lived for only about 6 years for Brady and 9 for Dallas. They were unwanted children at birth. The day they were born they were sold to a man and a woman in black lab coats by their parents for a great sum of money.
At first they were raised like normal children until Brady turned 6. Their fake parents began treating them differently. Started some sort of training regime. Waking up early, eating quickly before training their bodies and minds until the sun went down. Only taking a break when they ate lunch and dinner. This lasted a year at home.
Soon enough Brady and Dallas were brought to PILLAR labs where their training continued and the experiments soon began by the time they were ages 9 and 12. In order for guaranteed success though they had their genetic code completely rewritten to match that of a previous success from another experienced child. For months they were unconscious n tst tubed until they were stable and the genetic code was successfully changed.
When they were finally out experimentation began immediately. Serums and training constantly. Their bodies broke down over and over before being rebuilt to withstand the changes their bodies were going through. Despite the pain and inhumane trials their fake parents wore smiles and praised them. A mask to make sure Dallas and Brady continued to become what they were brought to PILLAR to be. Weapons of war.
James Silverstein was an experiment as long as he could remember. From the day he was born he wasn’t treated as a child by his parents. He was nothing but a science experiment to them. Constantly poked, prodded and tested on. Even used to test different drugs or shots. There were serums made to counteract whatever they used on him, but he became gravely sick. So far to the point he had to take a regular dose of a drug to keep him alive and sane.
Even so the experiments continued. Unknown to him however, his life was now on a time limit. The only thing the drug did was slow down the gradual decay of his body. He could’ve lived a long life, but now his time was reduced.
At the age of 12 James became increasingly difficult to handle. Increased aggression, disobedience and even attacking if pushed too much. To avoid any accidents or further issues he had a chip placed in his brain. Allowing his behavior to be controlled and occasionally immobilizing him if he made any move that would be problematic.
With the chip implant James became the near perfect weapon. Although he had an expiration date he would be able to perform his job without fail. An object of war that could be controlled. One that PILLAR hoped to perhaps clone to make a prophet and a base to make even more advanced weapons of war.
